What Do We Do?    Hold space for holistic positive and supportive mental, emotional, social and physical health services for youth and those who care for them.

Why?   Youth need a place that is catered to them and their needs.

Where?   533 W. Howard Avenue ~ Decatur, GA 30030

Who Started Gathered and Grounded?  Marnie Grodzin, LMSW, a local social worker (Actually a LCSW in two other states, but not Georgia as they have challenging codes which need to be updated, but Marnie’s not bitter, maybe a little.) She's also a certified Grounded Kids Yoga teacher and holds a 200 Therapeutic Yoga Certification. Marnie has worked and volunteered in a variety of settings in the Decatur and Atlanta area. After witnessing limited resources, as well as limited flexibility of days/times services and activities are made available to youth, she decided a place needed to exist dedicated to youth. Yes, there you have it, G&G's birth story! The gestation took longer than 9 months, but not nearly as painful!

What types of services are offered?   Yoga, mindfulness/meditation, support groups, fun activities, workshops and events, in house therapists, space and support for underserved groups and more. The latest elevator speech, “If it’s legal we can see about it happening at G&G. In addition community space is available for renting.

We welcome in all ages, races, orientations and even those with more than two feet! With a broad mission the possibilities are almost endless.

Some days you may see River walking around or flowing around. He is our therapy dog in training.

With that said, we would love to hear from you if there's something specific you would like to see at G&G.  In addition, if you would like to create something to offer at G&G please contact us.
